Privacy Policy and cookies

Draft awaiting legal review. This text describes how Degen Royale works today, but it has not been approved by counsel and may change before public launch. When it changes, you will be asked to accept the new version before you play.
What we collect
- Account: display name, profile choices, settings; your email if you sign in by email; your wallet address if you link a wallet.
- Gameplay: every hand you play (actions, timing, chips, and your cards once the hand is over), tournaments, achievements, friends and clubs.
- Chat: messages and emotes you send at tables, and reports.
- Security data: the IP address and browser type of each sign-in session, a hash of the dr_dev browser marker, and salted hashes of IP addresses for creator-link attribution.
- Public blockchain data: for a linked wallet, the token balance read from Solana.
Why we use it
- To run the game and your account.
- To keep play fair and the service secure: rate limits, preventing multiple accounts, and checks for collusion, chip dumping and bots, which staff review (see Fair Play). Staff can see completed hands, including folded cards, when reviewing a case; nobody, staff included, can see cards in a hand that is still being played.
- To moderate chat.
- To credit creators for players they bring (counts only, never your identity).
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage

All cookies are first-party and httpOnly (scripts on the page cannot read them). There are no third-party, analytics or advertising cookies.
Who else handles it
Our hosting and database providers, an email provider (to send sign-in links), and a Solana RPC provider (which sees wallet addresses we look up). Names and locations: to be completed before launch.
How long we keep it
Account data while your account exists. Hand history, chip records and the audit log are kept as integrity records and are anonymised if you delete your account. Backups are kept for a limited period and expire on a schedule. Exact periods: to be completed before launch.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That anonymises your account, removes your email, wallet link, friends and club memberships, and clears the IP address, browser type and browser marker stored with your sessions. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, export or object to the use of your data; contact details for requests: to be completed before launch.
Age
Degen Royale is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
